Are my floorboards good enough to sand

Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.52 PM

I would like my hallway flooring to be the sanded floorboards under the carpet. Have taken carpet up and floorboards look ok but some are not nailed down, there are gaps in between and one has split. I would like a professional opinion on their quality, if they are good enough to sand and whether a floorboard can be replaced from reclamation yard.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Without actually seeing them it's hard to say but most floorboards can be sanded back to a very good condition. The gaps in the floorboards mean that you won't be able to fill them. You only can if the floor is tung and groove. Also you can buy replacement floor boards yes. Regards Bobby BHBuilders
