My boiler appears to be working, pilot light is on & making a noise, but no hot water or heat. Have reset. Any ideas?

Possibly it could be because the Pump has stopped functioning and thus water not circulating around system and getting very hot around Boiler Pipes and kicking itself off. Bill Pipe Dreams Plumbing Services Bournemouth

we are all here to help!but the question is vauge.all the pilot light is doing is telling you that there is gas at the boiler,no more no less!!!we need to know make,model etc to help. a bit like at the doctors.regards tom clydebank plumbing&heating

And how is the pressure? Should be between 1.5 and 2 Bar.

could you give us some more details as to what type of system you have ie is it a combi or other.

Preassure does not need to be as high as 2 bar. You set your peassure depening on the size of your heat exchanger. Most combis work as low as 0.5bar. Check manufactures instructions. with the little information you give, It would be pointing towards your pump. Post a job on here for a Gas Safe engineer and he/she will come and sort it out.
