New Build

Cost of creating new 1st floor (1200sqft) in high ceilinged church in East London

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.31 PM

Hi All, I am about to purchase a church in Forest Gate, London which has planning permission to create a new first floor floor of approx 1200sqft. The building is not listed. I'm comfortable with the internal works, partitions etc but I am struggling to cost for creating the first floor structure itself, as much as the steels, joists and floorboards. The span would be approximately 8.5m wide by 13 metres long with the load going into the prexisting walls. Is there a generally accepted pricing structure for these sort of things (ie x£/sqft) or what figure might I roughly be looking at? Thanks in advance,

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi there I assume that the structure includes a new roof walls and all electrics and plumbing ect ? If so the guide price on this would be between £68 and £79 a sq foot depending on spec ect and types of services required. kind regards Steve
