Is it ok to have a boiler (not a combi) installed in the loft?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 2.39 PM

We would like our broken boiler removed from the kitchen and replaced with a mega flow boiler in the loft. We currently have a tank in the airing cupboard which will also need to be replaced.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Yes you can but a couple of things you need to bear in mind; 1. If Gravity Fed then your Header Tank needs to be higher than your Boiler or 2. Convert your Boiler Heating System into a Pressurised System and then no requirement for Header Tanks or Cold Water Storage Tanks. Bill Pipe Dreams Plumbing Services Bournemouth
