joins in ceiling joints visible (looks like tape has been used over plaster boards). Can this be fixed?

Really cant afford to have every ceiling reskimmed.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

it can be fixed by skiming over it

unfortunately there is not that much you can do, whoever skimmed the ceiling(s) has put too thin a coat on and thus the tape shows through. using "easy-fill" could help but be careful not to apply too thick or you will end up with a large akward bump to sand down. sorry but the best thing to do is re-skim the ceiling(s) using a reputable plasterer.
