How much to plaster a kitchen 3mx3m, and with 2.5m tall wall?

That sounds very expensive, but without viewing the job it is very difficult to comment. If the walls need to be taken back to brick and re-rendered and/or bonded to make them straight/plumb and perfect then it will be more costly. I wouldn't like to offer you a price as the location of your property and condition of existing walls and extent of work will affect the price. Re-boarding a ceiling is always advisable unless it is already near perfect as you never know if some previous cowboy has saved time and money by using minimal fixings. The last thing you want is for your nice new plaster to pull down all of the old stuff and whatever else is above the ceiling! I hope this has helped you in some way.

Becky. It's hard to answer without knowing what is actually involved. Get several quotes but I always work on £150 / day for my plasterers. It does sound a little expensive and yes dependent on state of roof it is sometimes necessary to board it. Mark.

Depending on the size and current state of your kitchen I wouldn't be able to be precise without viewing in person. But lets say for example its 14ft by 14 ft all four walls being plastered within 2 days for most experienced plasterers working on there own. Two men would complete in a day not including the boarding of the ceiling. Regarding the ceiling if this is wood ie cladding then it would need to be boarded in order for the plaster to take. Taking all into account above I would say no more than £1300

Hi becky, that quote sounds far to high if they are only skimmimg the walls with a top coat...however if they need to and or taking it back to brick, cutting in new sockets removing wallpaper etc even then I still think a little high for that size room...shop around a bit more. As far as the ceiling goes, if its in a good state, not loose or cracked you dont need a new one. Regards and good luck.
