Soakaway Under a Concrete Tanked Patio
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.52 PM
I want to install a concrete patio. It is a very long run to the nearest drain and laying the patio to reasonable falls is not practical. It would be above the DPC etc. Also it is virtually tanked as it has concrete brick wall on three sides. As I already have a reasonable layer of chippings, 75mm or so in a large part of this area, could I use that as a soak-away and put a drain into that area? The total patio area is 12m2 and the chippings area about 8m2. Would I need to dig a deeper "pit" under the actual drain?
