External Oak Door (european prime oak)
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.57 PM
I am having an external oak (european prime) fitted soon and I would like to stain it a dark colour. Almost black. To match gold brickwork, black guttering and a black/ dark grey garage door. The door is coming unfinished. What is the best product to use?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I would go to your dulux trade centre even though you are not trade you can still shop there. Then look at and get advice on sikkens products. This is the best stain on the market.

I don't think you can fault Sadolin extra or classic stain it comes in a varity of shades, you will probably be looking at ebony. It comes in 1litre tins as well. Your local Crown decorating centre will help you if your not sure.

Hi
i would recommend using a dulux weathershield opaque stain that you will be able to get made up to a colour of your choice. you will be able to get a sating mid sheen Finnish or a high gloss finish.
