Can you use PVA on a dark varnished wardrobe.
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.31 PM
I am about to paint an old wardrobe as quick as possible. I know it should be sanded, primed, undercoated etc...BUT was wondering if I used PVA on it first would that be sufficient enough for me to paint over????
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi
I wouldn't recommend PVA .A good trade multi- purpose primer would do the job. Johnstones paint suppliers . First give the cupboard a key with sand paper then primer followed by your chosen paint.

You do not need to use PVA. Just grinding, undercoat and then paint.
You can use DRIERS for faster drying. Good luck
