Is intrusive lettering necessary on spacer bars of double glazed windows
Anonymous user 14/03/2024 - 2.36 PM
Just had double glazed windows fitted in a 150yr old country cottage. Went to great lengths to get flush fitting expensive units in keeping with the appearance. Once installed I notice they nearly all have bright yellow lettering on many of the white spacer bars. Each set is about 30cms long with Pilkington Glass and a set of numbers which seem to relate to date of manufacture etc. It really is intrusive and if it is necessary why can't it be placed on the top bar where it can't be seen. Have complained to the installer and am awaiting a visit from the maker Evolution. Any advice please.
