Is there a design reason for a gap between the wall seams and my sliding doors?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.31 PM

I've just moved into a property that has Schuco glass folding doors in the kitchen. I've noticed that there is a gap (probably 1/2cm at its widest) between the wall and the door seams. Wanted to check that this isn't part of the design (can't believe so!) or, if this is something that needs fixing whether I have to go back to Schuco or could it be looked at by a local fitter. Don't have any details from the previous owners as to guarantee etc. Many thanks.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Go directly to schuco if someone else touches it this will invalidate any guarantee you may have on the doors. steve

Sometimes folding doors can adjusted over slightly, but if the gap is quite big then it might be best to contact the company and tell them the problem .
