Paint ain't really sticking to the wall/chipboard etc

I have painted some walls etc and the paint ain't really taking to it. Some 1 got me paint but it's a bit mad 2bh.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

What surface are you trying to paint? It sounds like you might need to seal or prime and undercoat the surface first. If you can give a little more info, for example what paint you are using, then we can help a little more. Jane, Mango Property Maintenance Ltd

Always use a good branded paint. Wash the areas to be painted with Sugar Soap and if need use a proprietory sealer such as Unibond. Depending on colour change, apply two or three coats to cover. If new work then apply a thined down first coat followed by two full coats.
