Carpet and pvc french doors
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.31 PM
Hi I need to fit carpet up to pvc french doors and not sure how to do this. Do grippers go straight across the doors? Or is there a specific carpet trim bar to fit? I can't find the answer anywhere!! Any help appreciated. Thanks

hi presumably the doors have a frame that is a permanent fixture creating a step over point when leaving the room if so you just gripper up to this permanent lip leaving about a 5mm gap for tucking carpet.
If it doesn't have a lip you get a bar called a single natlock bar and finish across doorway with this .

I agree with the advice above, the only thing I would add is that if the door does have a lip at the bottom and the subfloor is concrete, you'll find fitting dual-floor grippers and underlay will give you the best finish along the edge of the door.
