What is the meaning of "not included" in grade II listings!
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.13 PM
I have a grade II listed build where the listing specifically states, at the end: "Altered C19 rear wing and rear C20 additions not included." Does this mean that no conservation planning consent is required, for example for windows in this part of the property?

Those areas may not be of historic interest as they might have been added on at a later date or are not significant for the purpose of listing as Grade II or Grade I. These structures may still need planning permission if structural alterations are planned and could still be subject to the general planning requirements of the local council.
