Paint Spillage on Pavement Outside My House

Anonymous user 14/03/2024 - 2.36 PM

Someone has accidently dropped what looks like a tin of white gloss paint on the pavement outside my house, making an unsightly mess. The spillage is about 1 metre square. This happened when I was out at work and is virtually dry now. How should I try and remove it? I plan to scrape it with a shovel, wire brush it and power wash it. Is this the best approach? Is there a product I can easily buy to help me (the spillage may not be gloss but looks oil based)? Alternatively, should I badger my local authority to attack it with chemicals?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

May be wrong, but i think you are not aloud to touch it, being council property, plus you leave yourself open to a law suit if someone hurts themselves during or after your removal effort. Get the council to do it, we pay enough in council tax.

Hi Arnold, paint stripper is the 1, or a drill with wire brush

You could apply Paint Remover leave it for a few minutes then scrape it of after that power wash the area.
