can I use paving stones in place of a concrete slab?

I have used deep concrete footings and deep layer of hardcore for my conservatory. I have a large stock of concrete pavers. Can I use these over sand, membrane, insulation and mortar mix?

As long as theyre fitted correctly there is not much difference between the flags and poured concrete for foot trafic
