I had run around with one guy who kept calling and cancelling ! I'm not into name and shame as it may be legitimate his reasons for cancelling. What I would like to know is there tradesmen out there who can give me a ruff estimate to cost of doing a 4x5 driveway ,and a dropped curb. It's on grass which will need dug out and soiled disposed off, you also have to be able to abide by council regs set out for doing the dropped curb. I'm only wanting a rough ideas to cost so I can get it done ASAP when I have the money. Cheers john

make sure your contractor holds the N.R.S.W.A tickets to lay the drop kerbs. also make sure they tarmac to the right depth ( 100mm ) below surface with a 20mm base tarmac layed at 60mm deep and a top coat tarmac 6mm or 10mm depending on current dressing , layed at 40mm. I would say a price between £2000 and £2500 would be fair depending on the driveway materials etc. i hope this helps
