i have just fitted a new engineering oak wood flooring to my house with underfloor heating, it seems to squeak when I walk on it, do you have any suggestonis on how to resolve this problem.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi,
It shouldn't squeak...doubtfull it will go away. Usually caused by tight boards that cant move. Floor is designed to float and move in the surrounding ambient conditions. It could be cut too tightly, around door ways etc...might not have enough expansion gap. If the subfloor isn't flat enough, this can cause the boards to spring and sqeak. Check all these things first, if you're happy it's none of those...it would be best to get a chippy or a timber floor layer to look at it.
Hope this helps you

Try some talcum powder in the joints . If there are no underlying probems this can sort it out.
