Broken dial off front of cooker

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.13 PM

I caught one of the dials on my Hotpoint cooker and it tore off. It seems to have sheared off at the white stem where it connects to the cooker. Hotpoint want to charge £125 to come and fix it which seems a lot. Is this something that a handyman could fix, or is it best to accept the manufacturers quote. Thanks.

Contact your local white goods shop I'm sure they can provide spares and even fix it for you

Put the make of cooker into eSpares and get a replacement and simply place the new one on the cooker. (You may want to change them all so they match in colour though)
