is it possible to run 4 electric showers from a pumped mains

I have a 5 bed house running on a combi boiler... is it possible to run 4 electric showers by splitting the mains and putting a pump on mains... a plumber i got to quote seens to think so.. i am dubious... the other option is to put some cold water tanks in and runnin 4 electric showers of them ... is this an option that would work? Which of these 2 will work?

Hi
I am hoping that i have miss read this. I would strongly recommend that you do not put any kind of pump on to the mains water supply.
It is strictly forbid for shower pumps to be fitted on mains water supplies. The water supply (Water fittings) regulations 1999 prohibit it. Unless you manage to get special permission from the water undertaker, Which is highly unlikely.
like i said, hopefully I am reading it wrong and you meant something else :)

As you have a combi boiler there is no need for electric showers if the boiler is man enough it should do the job. You will have to have power from the main board to power the showers if you choose this option. This will be more costly and half of your house will have to be ripped apart for the cables.
