Internal Door to Internal Garage to create small storage room?

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.30 PM

Hi, We are in the process of buying a house (actually a new build). Its a really nice house but very short on storage space. It has an internal garage and an idea we have is to use some of this space as a small storage room. How much would it cost to put in a door (brick wall) and some plasterboard to create a very simple room? Thanks!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

is the house completely built if not try asking the main builder for a cost or if you can see a brickie at work on site ask him if he does private work regards al-fixit

Hi, I would recommend you contact a builder for a cost for the works but think it be in the region of a few hundred pounds. I am contacting you to inform you that if you live here in Scotland. I'm in glasgow , A building warrant application would be required and the door needs to be a fire door if part of garage remains
