Aluminium or timber roof frame?

We are currently looking at extending our house with a 4mx4m orangery with a real roof. We have got it down to two companies, however one uses traditional timber structure while one uses aluminium. What are the pros and cons of each? Does one perform better than the other? Many thanks

defendant on the appearance you are seeking ie are the structures to be exposed? timber is warmer to on appearances and coated ali will give you a more contemporary feel - no maintenance.
