Bricklaying & Repointing

Building a brick wall on existing concrete slab

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.12 PM

We have a removed two pre fabricated concrete double garages from our garden and are now left with the concrete slab they were built on. Is it possible to build a brick wall along the boundary of the existing concrete or would we need to break it up and lay new foundations?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Yes it would be possible to build a brick wall on the concrete slab depending on the depth of the slab and the height of your intended wall.the slab could be tested before any building took place for added peace of mind. Derek @ gauge brickwork limited

Providing the foundation is still solid and has no movement cracks, it will be fine to use, Calum @ CMT Contractor
