Setting gauge on new porch roof

Hi, I am currently building a porch and wishing to have the same tiles as my house roof which are somerset 13's. The pitch of the roof it 24 degrees. I was wondering what gauge I should set them at please? Thank you

Hi there,
Set the first course having 50 mm of the tile hanging over the fascia into the gutter, this is a standard, take a measurement from that top of the rafter to the top of that batten, subtract 50mm from that, now the measurement you have is the total are that needs covering (call this measurement A). There is a few ways to figure out your gauge but I'll try and make it as simple as possible. Place a mark 75 mm below the nail hole in the tile, now measure from that mark to the bottom of the tile (call thismeasurement B), so now A ÷ B = a rough idea of how many courses you will have.
Example (A)1340÷(B)330 =4.060606 (round it off to nearest whole number, in this case 4) now simply, (A)1340÷4 = 335 (In this example thats the guage)
