Can a particle board desk be fixed?
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.12 PM
So my desk has got broken in the move. Where the end and the top were joined has snapped leaving the screws still in and broken wooden bits. Sorry if I'm not explaining well here. I have been told it's not fixable due to the fact that it's made of particleboard. I quite like the desk and have read you can fill the holes and screw back together. Just need to know if it's possible or if I should just go and buy a new desk. Thanks in advance Lucy

I have had some success in the past by filling the holes with an epoxy putty and then screwing back together. This fix will depend on how bad the holes are and if they can be seen once the desk is reassembled. A photo would be helpful
