plastering job finished but decorator saying its not done properly

Hi I'm Alex and I'm a professional decorator and unfortunately I come across this situation all the time. When it comes to plasterers it's a very hard trade to master and take a lot of years in the trade to be able to perfect the skills of a plasterer. Although you should be getting what you paid for when hiring a tradesman it's hard if you have paid cash to get anything back but if you have paid through banks or checks you could try and contact to trader and just explain what's happened. Saying this the chance of claiming anything back once the decorating is finished is very unlikely and if the decorators were any good they would of made the walls good and you wouldn't of noticed the plaster after anyways. Hopefully you can contact the tradesman and you can get something back if not at least you know never to use them again thanks.
