Chimney & Fireplace

Is it possible to put in a fire place or stove using a chimney placed on the other side of the wall?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.12 PM

We have a fire place in our dining/kitchen but would really love one in the lounge as well. The wall of the lounge lies against the back of the chimney breast which services the dining room. Would it be possible using the existing chimney to install a fire place or stove in the lounge as well? The existing fire place has a wood burning stove in it and we would want another stove in the lounge.

No. No. No. In brief you will allow the opportunity for fumes to exit from one side to the other so don't do it.
