Bathroom Fitting

How can I replace my loo seat, when I don't know the manufacturer?

Anonymous user 06/03/2024 - 2.31 PM

My toilet seat is broken - the lid came off about two years ago, and the seat itself has now cracked, so I really need to sort it. The trouble is, it isn't a standard toilet seat, and nothing like anything ive found in the usual Homebase, B&Q, online etc, so I can't find a new seat that will fit the fittings. The fittings also need replacing. Is there a service I could send photos to, who could help? Or does a narrow seat with two silver fittings at the back, which are undone with an alun key make you think of a particular manufacturer? Thanks to anyone who can help.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi there, I would either suggest taking your excisting seat off and take it to 'city plumbing ' they can order nearly every style of seat , or I found this site http://www.choicereplacementtoiletseatshop.co.uk Which may help you find your exact seats. I hope this is sort of helpful

Hi, toilet seats are generally fairly generic so you should be able to unscrew two screws under the bowl at the back and lift the old seat off, you can then simply fit the new loo seat, the screws/ nolts generally have all the fittings needed and in some cases are supplied with a simple tool for doing them up or undoing them. Kind Regards, Mark at Apex.
