How do I clean cast iron rads before connecting to a new boiler
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.52 PM
I have been told that I need to do a power flush to some reclaimed radiators i have before fitting them with a new boiler. However I feel this is not necessary as they are not in situ yet and I will be using a manga clean. Could I not just hose them down?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Of course you can, hosing them down will remove a bit of the old excess build up inside but not totally remove. A Powerflush would always be recommended because it constantly circulates water with chemicals to break old residues down and guarantee clean results. Regards, Andy
