Bad tiling of en suite
Anonymous user 06/03/2024 - 2.30 PM
Hi guys, I made a huge mistake yesterday and let my dad tile my en suite bathroom instead of getting a professional in to do the job. The upshot basically is that all the cuts on the far wall are all uneven and look awful. Is there a solution to this problem either by a thick beading of silicone or getting someone in to re do them? Or any suggestions from any of you would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Thank you Irfan, I'm taking your advice on the second option. Much appreciated.

With of the options above that you mentioned would work, may I suggest you do not ask the family dog to do the silicone joint..... ;)

Hi there, thanks for posting your issue. I will try and shed some light if i can. Are the two adjacent walls flat and plumb? Just bad cuts on the far wall? If so i would recommend replacing the cut tiles.. if this for any reason is not possible then i suggest going to B&Q and get something called a Scotia trim. Silicone and stick this on providing the walls are plumb and you will have that neater finish. Hope this helps..
