Pvcu door won't lock

Hi my door won't lock when closed but the lock works with door open , it's the type of lock that wen you shut won't open from outside nd that isn't workin any more

Sometimes the this type of door drops slightly, this can cause the lock to stop working. The lock pat that moves is prevented by the fact that it is prevented from going into where it should be located. Hope this was helpful, cannot say more unless I investigated it.

Sounds like the door has dropped needs the hinge lifting
