Peeling paint on stained wooden doors

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.55 PM

Hi I have several dark stained wooden doors. I have sanded these down, wiped them over with sugar soap cloths, applied a base coat of Johnsons advanced white primer then two top coats of Johnsons quick dry satin Paint. These were done over several days allowing each coat to dry thoroughly. I left it another two days to dry re-hung the doors & to my annoyance the paint peeled off in large sheets of plastic. Any ideas why?

On any stained or varnished surface application of Dulux Trade Super Grip Primer is a MUST - paint will always pill otherwise.
