Should I see screws externally on the window sill

Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.51 PM

I need some advice I has Rehau Heritage uPVC sliding sash windows put in and when I open them, on the bottom of the frame / sill there are two screws sticking out of the sill on all of them. I thought the frames should be plain uPVC panelling and if any screws present, covered over with the frame. Othewise, leaving the windows open will expose the screws to weather? Looking into the top corners of the window frame where it slides up, there are also visible screws sticking out, going through the window frame, into the house wall. Is this correct?

The fixings into the wall are fine (They need fixing somewhere) The ones in the sill though are a bit iffy.
