I am converting a loft space to a bedroom, is there a regulation height for sockets in this room i am hoping to keep them around 200 mm above floor level but have been told they may have to be 450 mm for regs, do these regs apply in this situation? Thank you

The building regulations of England wales and Scotland require socket outlets and switches in new dwellings to installed so that persons including those whose reach is limited can easily use them. A way of satisfying these requirements is to install them at a height of between 450mm 1200mm from finished floor level so if your home is not a new dwelling then no its up to you to position them at a height that is suitable to you.
