mould on walls and ceiling in bathroom

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.14 PM

I have anti condensation paint on the walls & ceiling of my bathroom, also an extractor fan plus a radiator. But the walls still run with condensation,& mould appears in the corners & on the ceiling. I wipe this off with a special mould remover but it comes back about every ten days. What can I do to get rid of this, so I don't have to do the bathroom up every 18 months HELP!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

treat your self to a dehumidifier , wash and neutralise the mould areas followed by a decent stain block, as far as you top coats , check out a product called zinnser perma white( will mix to any colour) . done over 100 student en suit bathrooms with great effect its a great product for areas with high humidity , bathrooms , professional kitchens , swimming pools ect best of luck

Hi for best results against mould use Stainblock(oil base).Paint the moulding areas with Polycell Trade Stain Block at least 2 coats first and after that use the original paint. Thanks
