For a standard 50mm block paving you should be looking at around £60 to £70 per sq m plus Vat. If you go for a Marshalls registered contractor they offer a 10 year product and 5 year labour guarantee.
Excavation should be 230mm with 150mm of type 1 stone compacted in at least two layers. This is followed by 25 to 30mm of sharp sand. Sand should not be laid any thicker that 30mm (Definitely not 3 to 4 inches) and should be compacted and screeded before laying the blocks. This is then followed by brushing in kiln dry sand and compacted.
The above costs do not take into account any drainage or recessed manholes that may be required.
Hope this help

If you was to choose standard brick paving it would cost approx 60 pounds per square metre excluding any drainage if necessary to comply with local council guidelines. This includes all excavation and substantial base. we would also put a 5 year guaranty on the job too.

a job like this from start to finish would cost you £900 this price includes all excavation work to the area required installing a new foundation with atleast four to five inches of type mot stone , 3-4 inches of sharp sand screeded to your specification and also your new block paving layed in any colour, design or pattern of your choice and you would also get a 5 year guarantee with any work that we were to commence on your property and before we start anything on your property or the surrounding grounds we would state everything in black and white in a written quotation/contract signed by me or one of my colleagues and the house owner.
