Putting integrated washing machine into standard free standing space in kitchen
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.14 PM
Hi I'm buying a house with a new kitchen which has a gap for a free standing washing machine, however as the kitchen is quite small I'd like to put an integrated washing machine in instead (for smarter appearance). Can I just put an integrated washing machine in the gap and add integrated door /plinth or does it need to be in a specific housing unit? Thanks

hi it depends on the size of the hole they have left you in the kitchen as an integrated washing machine needs a space of 600mm and no bigger, integrated washing machines do not need housing units, but if the space is bigger than 600mm you will have a gap down each side of the integrated door, hope this helps please feel free to message me if you need any more help.
