Gas fire replaced with electric fire - How to vent?
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.10 PM
I am going to have the gas fire taken out of the lounge and I have bought an electric fire and surround from B&Q to replace it. I am going to get qualified people to take out the gas fire and put in the electric fire but I am going to do the bricking up and plastering. I know that I have to allow for ventilation to avoid damp but how do I actually do this and keep it looking nice? I don't really want a vent just above the fireplace it will look awful. What is the best way to do it? (The electric fire is just a cheap B&Q one with a surround and hearth made of some sort of MDF or something like)
