Baxi Barcelona intermittent leaking and lock out
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.54 PM
I've got a Baxi Barclona boiler. It has an intermittent problem whereby it leaks from the boiler casing. This is normally accompanied by an ignition lockout - red light permanently on. I've had the condensate drain and trap cleared out - only a small amount of debris in the trap. The problem seems totally random, it can run ok for days then will lockout during one of the on periods.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I assume you are gas safe registered if your not do not touch the boiler its dangerous. Anyway if you look where the water is coming out you will get a clue to its source if the boiler runs fine sometimes it could well be the condensate pipework inside the boiler casing checking up if this is h's
Appending the condensate builds up in the fire box and will overflow and or trip the boiler to lockout you need to get a gas engineer to fix it before it damages the electrics or worse (condensate is corrosive it will eat through the casing if not draining properly then your boiler is done)
