small round patch of paint seeping water in the kitchen
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.13 PM
Hi, over the last two months a small round patch has developed in the kitchen which has started to bobble and seep water, this happens sporadically. the wall isnt attached to any other wall (the other side of the wall is the end of my house) and doesnt appear to contain any pipes etc, do you have any advice on what this could be and why its only happened on a small section in the wall. ive just moved in five months ago and repainted the wall matt paint and on inspection this hasnt happened before Mark

if your walls were damp before you painted them the water is trying to escape on the inside as you have sealed the outside.
If you have cavity walls there may be something lodged in the cavity bridging the damp across
Check the guttering on the outside to make sure it is not leaking and also the roof as there may be water running down the felt into the cavity or onto the top of the external bricks
