Hairline cracks in newly plastered walls

your first response is true but hairline cracks are common when carrying out over skim dependant on original plaster

It sounds like the plasterer has not primed the surface before plastering or you have dried it out too fast. If is hairline cracks and the plaster has not blown you can fix with some fine filler but if you tap the wall and it sounds hollow then I am afraid it will need to be hacked off and re-done
