How far from a soil pipe can I site a second toilet?
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.09 PM
I want to create a second toilet backing onto the existing bathroom in a bungalow with concrete floors. Is it possible to back it onto the bathroom and run pipe work through the wall and along the side of the bathroom approximately 3m to the external wall and access to the soil pipe? Not sure if the above terminology correct (female) but do not want a macerator if I can avoid it. Thank you (hoping for a 'yes')

Yes :) proving you can get the correct fall for the ...ahem....debris!! Doesn't have to be to much as you are looking for the...debris...to float into the SVP(Soil Vent Pipe) so you don't want the water to flow to quickly. Best guesstimate is to use a spirit level and set the bubble against the line opposite to the fall you need. This should give you a nice gentle flow for the waste
