hi , please make sure you have a rcd in your consumer unit & as long as you go for the same kw shower thats would be ok, if you want a big and better shower eg more kw,you would need to check the size of cable some people wire in 6mm t&e because its cheaper to buy ,we would always wire in a 10mm t&e cable because showers with higher kw are alot better hope this helps hills-electrical

The Actual change over of this job is not a massive job but a couple of things need to be considered with regards to the electrics. Firstly make sure that firstly you have RCD protection on the circuit of the shower. Secondly make sure that cable that is installed is adequate for the size of the shower as some of the modern showers pull quite lot of current. Hope this helps.

Hi, you may need to alter the pipe work slightly if the entry points are different on the new shower. This also applies to the cable, it may need to be extended slightly to reach the terminals. This is fairly simple to fix. Make sure the cable has the correct current rating, I would always install 10mm2 as this will future proof you. Without going into too much technical jargon if the cable runs through your loft space make sure that it's not buried under a pile loft insulation as this will decrease the current carrying capacity of the cable. I have seen to many examples of burnt out wiring due to this. Make sure it's RCD protected also. Hope this helps.
