Advice on how I can improve my water pressure

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.13 PM

Hi there - I've just moved into a 1 bed top floor (of two levels) flat - built in the 1950s, ex local authority. The water pressure is worse than anything I've ever known! It effects everything - cold and hot - from kitchen to bathroom, even the toilet doesn't flush enough. There is a combi boiler installed approx 10 years ago in the cupboard located on the balcony, just behind the bathroom and at the same level as the bath. Is there anything (anything!) that can be done to improve the situation, and if so what sort of costs are we looking at - and who are the right people to do it? I am based in Loughton in Essex. Any advice gratefully received - it took me 25 minutes to run half a bath tonight. Thanks very much, Gill

check as well , in addition to Heat Central, if your main stop valve is fully open or might be faulty . i faced the same situation and it was the valve .

Firstly have you asked neighbours if all local properties are the same or just yours??? That would be first port of call. May be that just your property which would lead to other issues.
