Labour cost for laminate floor fitting and carpet flooring

I'm in the process of writing up a spec for laminate flooring and carpet fitting throughout my flat. I'm trying to budget too. What are the going rates for floor fitters in South East London per metre squared? I'm intending to supply all materials. Carpet / laminate / underlay. I assume there are different labour costs for laminate fitting and carpet fitting so any indication as to the standard labour costs for each, per m2 would be really helpful. If it helps, I'm after roughly 30m2 laminate and 25m2 carpet.

Hi Most floor layers work on about the same rates, having said that there are a few less competent fitters who charge less but generally you get what you pay for. Some companies such as ourselves offer discounted rates if you purchase materials from us,standard fitting rates are as follows....... Laminate flooring £10 per square meter Carpet/underlay £2-95 per square meter with a small surcharge added for stairs normally about £20 Vinyl flooring £3-50 square meter
