Converting a chapel in Carhampton near Minehead to a 2/3 bedroom house

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.13 PM

We are hoping to buy a Methodist Chapel in Carhampton near Dunster and Minehead and convert it into a 2/3 bedroom house. It has planning permission. We have found out today that there is no water supply so this would need to be obtained from the road and the sewage would be able to come off the neighbours system. We want to do as much of the work as possible ourselves to keep cost down. Having said that we clearly will need a builder to get the utilities on site, to get the place heated, electrics and plumbed. To add the floor, stairs and dividing walls. We would really like any interested builders to meet us there before we submit our offer so we can talk through our ideas and how we want to work. We need to know that this is a viable investment and that we will be able to make at least a small amount of profit when we sell. Thanks Alice and Aaron
