I have damp on my window in kitchen, wallpaper dampness in bedroom upstairs?

Please tell me best way to prevent this, as I have just moved into the house and want to stop this from happening further before re-decorating etc

for some damp proofing is complex issue for others an easy subject.
step 1
rent an industrial dehumidifier and run it for at least 48 hours
step 2
clean walls and paint them with damp proof paint, can get this from wickes as its low odour.
step 3
keep the premisses at a comfortable temperature and open window daily for a min of one hour as we humans produce 5-7 litres of liquid

Damp normally only rises 1mtr its down to the DPC failing or failed, you've probably got mould issues due to poor ventilation caused by condensation, clean away all mould with mild bleach or similar, vent windows when showering and cooking or use extractor fan if fitted, the way people live contributes to mould and damp issues so a simple change of the way you live could remedy the faults
