Building regulation rquirement for conversion from a shop into a flat
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.13 PM
Hi I have an A1 ground shop foor that I want to convert into a one-bed flat. This is permitted developement and I have been given prior approval. Can some experts provide me advise on: (i) whether I do need bulding regulation approval? (ii) If so, how do I go about it. (iii) Work is scheduled to begin next week: stud wall with pink plaster board, sound proof board with neighbour party wall, ceiling insulation with rock wools and pink plaster board. Electric shower and cooker and water heater to be wired by registered electrician. Should I put this on hold until I submit plans to Building control? Or it is adequate to demonstrate the materials used and drawings? Thanks a million for your help. Regards Nicki
