No hot water in the shower and bath?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.13 PM

When having a shower or bath there doesn't seem to be hot water coming through only Luke warm water. The sink hot water is fine and the central heating is fine just the shower and bath.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi A couple of possibilities. If you have a thermostatic bath mixer with shower attachment. then the cartridge inside is possibly scaled up. replace / repair as necessary alternatively, if you run several other cold outlets at the same time as the bath and you achieve hot water coming out of the bath then there is a flow in-balance (cold over powering the hot) seek out flow restrictions on mixer or hot water pipework. Could be an air lock? There again do you have a hot water cylinder?
