hello nothing to do with your boost pump boost pump is to give better pressure and higher flow rate. i think you are living in area where the water is hard so scale has been built over the years inside your thermostat preventing from sensing the correct temperature. clean cartridge or replace mixer. It sounds like the thermostatic cartridge has gone. This happens from time to time. If you have a "big brand" shower such as Bristan or Mira then it may be under warranty and you may be able to get a replacement thermostatic cartridge. If it is unbranded I would just buy a replacement mixer valve as sometimes the thermostatic cartridges can be as expensive as a new shower.
